Oklahoma ABLE Tech is a statewide project that serves Oklahomans with disabilities by increasing access to assistive
technology. Assistive technology is anything that can help a child or adult with a disability to live and work
independently, such as a wheelchair, an adapted computer and software, home modifications, adapted vehicles and
lifts, hearing aids, or speech recognition devices.
Services available through ABLE Tech include information, referral, training, technical assistance, advocacy, and
efforts to improve laws and policies providing access to assistive technology. The Oklahoma Equipment Connection is
a service through ABLE Tech that provides access to affordable, re-sale assistive technology.
For families statewide needing to purchase assistive technology equipment, ABLE Tech has a low-interest loan program
available through a partnership with BancFirst of Stillwater.
