Free Eye Examinations

The Community Action Project of Tulsa has started a full-time optometry program offering comprehensive eye exams to children and adults who do not have vision insurance and who qualify under the federal income guidelines. A family of two can meet the guidelines if the annual income is less than $22,500, and a family of four meets the income guidelines if the annual income is less than $34,100. This service is provided for children four years of age and older, unless there are specific problems such as crossed eyes.

The eye exams are free. If eye glasses are necessary, the cost is only $35 and includes single vision glasses as well as bifocals.

Although the clinic is located in Tulsa, they serve families who live anywhere in the state. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 918/382-3297.
