The Families and Advocates Partnership for Education (FAPE) is a federally funded project which helps families and advocates improve educational results for children with disabilities by linking families, advocates and self-advocates with current research and promising practices. Family Voices is one of eleven core partners in the project.
The web site, www.fape.org, offers family-friendly information and materials which address the requirements of the Individuals with Disability Education Act of 1997 (IDEA '97), positive behavioral supports, juvenile justice issues, a weekly newsline of hot topics, links to other national, state, and local disability organizations, new research and other issues of concern to families.
FAPE also has a toll-free telephone number for assistance on IDEA '97. The number is 1-888-248-0822.
