Community health centers (CHCs) have almost 40 years of caring for those that are medically uninsured and
underserved by providing high quality, affordable health care to anyone, regardless of ability to pay. CHCs accept
Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance, and also have an income-based sliding fee scale for uninsured and
underinsured patients.
CHCs provide a comprehensive range of services, including primary and preventive health care, dental services,
mental health and substance abuse services, case management, and health education. CHCs also provide transportation
and child care to enable clients to seek care.
There are currently seven community health centers in Oklahoma with a total of fifteen health center delivery sites.
