Oklahoma Disability Law Center, Inc.

The Oklahoma Disability Law Center (ODLC) is a federally mandated protection and advocacy system that provides protection of the rights of people with disabilities through legally based advocacy. Their mission is to protect, promote and expand the rights of people with disabilities and mental illness. ODLC works closely with consumer groups and disability rights organizations to advocate for progressive changes in the systems that affect people with disabilities, such as health care, mental health, education and welfare.

ODLC can provide a variety of forms to enable you to prepare complaints to appropriate federal agencies if you believe that you or your child has experienced discrimination based on a disability. ODLC does provide legal services, but the demand for services often exceeds their resources. If they cannot provide legal representation, then whenever possible, they offer information and provide referrals to other agencies that might be able to help.
