Community Partnership Boards

The Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth (OCCY) has created Community Partnership Boards across the state which address issues and concerns affecting children ages birth to 18 years of age and their families.

Members of the boards include interested citizens and family members, local schools and businesses, and people from city, county and state agencies. You do not have to be a member of the board to attend the meetings.

Issues addressed by Community Partnership Boards include such concerns as children with special health care needs, violence, education, poverty, juvenile delinquency, deprived and neglected children, alcohol and drug abuse, and teen pregnancy.

Community Partnership Boards help determine and shape future services offered to children and their families. Through participation on your Community Partnership Board you can help improve conditions for the children, youth and families in your area. You can also network with other child advocates and service providers in your county.

For more information, or for the meeting dates and times of your Community Partnership Board, contact Craig Cates by phone at 405/522-6600, or by email at ccates@mhs.oklaosf.state.ok.us
