Many children with special needs are the object of bullying at school.

Oklahoma law mandates that the school climate shall be conducive to learning. State law also mandates that each school have a Safe School Committee composed of at least six members in equal numbers of teachers, parents of affected children, and students. The committee is to study safety and other issues which prevent the school from maintaining a safe environment, and make recommendations to the principal.

Who is on your school's Safe School Committee? If your child is being bullied, or you believe there are other unsafe situations at your child's school, maybe that person should be you!
