TARC, a network of programs advocating for the rights of citizens with developmental disabilities, is currently recruiting individuals across the state for a program called ARCCorps that matches compassionate volunteers with individuals in their area who have developmental disabilities and receive DHS/DDSD services.

Individuals who are unable to speak or have limited mobility are often in a vulnerable situation because of their disability. The volunteer's role is to visit individuals in their homes and talk with the people who provide services for them, help the individual speak out about their needs and desires, help them make important life decisions, and advocate on behalf of individuals with whom they are matched. Technical support and training are provided.
